ECONOMIC REGULATION OF TRANSPORT UNDER THE COMMON TRANSPORT POLICY OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES

THIS ARTICLE SURVEYS THE ACTION IN THE FIELD OF TRANSPORT POLICY OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY SINCE THE 1957 ROME TREATY. DIFFERENCES IN TRANSPORT REGULATORY PHILOSOPHY AND PERCEIVED NATIONAL INTEREST AMONG THE MEMBER STATES ARE REVIEWED. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE POSITIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE FIELD OF ECONOMIC REGULATION OF TRANSPORT MUST BE REGARDED AS ONLY THE BAREST BEGINNINGS. /AUTHOR/
