SELF TUNING CONTROLLERS FOR SURFACE SHIP MANOEUVRING

A simulation study of the self-tuning controller algorithm applied to linearized ship dynamics is discussed with particular reference to the case of manoeuvring inputs. Under large-manoeuvring conditions a linear model is not valid and a non-linear model due to "bech" is included in the self-tuning loop. Order from NSFI as No. 17399.
