COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN OF A SHIP STEERING--STABILIZATION SYSTEM

A series of fortran programs have been developed for interactive, graphical design of control schemes for multi-variable systems. This package of programs is demonstrated by way of producing a dynamic pre-compensator for a ship, fin, rudder model using a new method for obtaining the spectral factorisation of the transfer function matrix.
