DETECTION OF WATER IN DIESEL FUEL

The presence of water in diesel fuel is detected by analyzing the component elements of water, the commonest of which is sodium, which is identified by spectrum analysis of the fuel using a FPL-1 photometer, for example. However, this is an extremely expensive method, hence the design of a new type of equipment. The article describes, by means of tables and diagrams, the results obtained with the new method.
