THE EFFECT OF MOTOR SPEED ON INFRASONIC NOISE GENERATION IN LORRY CABS

MOTORVARVTALETS BETYDELSE FOER ALSTRING AV LAAGFREKVENT LJUD I LASTBILSHYTTER

In order to study the effect of motor speed on infrasonic noise in lorry cabs, the sound and the corresponding vibrations were measured at various driving speeds. The measurements were carried out at three motor speeds 1000, 1400 and 1750 r/m within the speed interval 0-80 km/h. The measurements show that motor speed has a small or no effect on infrasonic noise at driving speeds higher than 10-30 km/h. /TRRL/
