ELECTRIC CARS - THEIR FUTURE ROLE IN URBAN TRANSPORT, CANBERRA, 1975. CONFERENCE PAPERS

This conference was arranged by the Bureau of Transport Economics, Australia in conjunction with the Australian Electric Vehicle Association. Papers presented at the conference discussed topics such as the future transport needs of Australian cities, the role of electric vehicles, and the potential demand for electric vehicles in the future. The impact of electric vehicles on the environment is also discussed. Electric vehicle operating costs, energy consumption of these vehicles compared to motor vehicles running on petroleum as well as technological developments in motor and control systems, batteries and the overall design of electric cars and commercial vehicles are also covered. /TRRL/
