COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DESIGN

In the western world today, there are some 300,000 electric powered vehicles. Most of these are commercial vehicles, with the only other large category being golf cars. This is due to the fact that the technology and design constraints on electric vehicles are more easily applied to the generally-accepted styles of commercial vehicles. With passenger cars, one must cater for those who like fast, good looking machines, whereas with commercial vehicles, designs are functional and basic. It becomes obvious that a commercial vehicle operator can obtain a more efficient, reliable, and comfortable machine if he is prepared to purchase electric powered vehicles in lieu of conventional alternative. /Author/TRRL/
