HIGH SPEED SHIP STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS, PRACTICAL APPLICATION TO DESIGN

This paper is devoted to the problem of high speed hulls subjected to transient dynamic loads, specifically those associated with ship hydrodynamic impact, as these are usually the critical seaway induced dynamic loads in the design of high speed ships. Other dynamic transient loads which may induce severe damage to the hull structure are those associated with air blast loadings and underwater explosions.
