ELECTRONIC DESIGN OF HIGHWAYS. IMPOSED GEOMETRY AUTOMATIC ALIGNMENT CALCULATIONS /IN FRENCH/

DIRECTIVES ARE GIVEN FOR THE UTILIZATION OF THE TE G1 PROGRAM (IMPOSED GEOMETRY ELECTRONIC DESIGN). THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR A FAIRLY ADVANCED STAGE OF A ROAD PROJECT WHEN IT IS NECESSARY TO DEFINE THE GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DESIGN ACCURATELY IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE PEGGING OUT OF THE ROAD. THE FOLLOWING DATA ARE PROVIDED: (1) CALCULATION AND DRAWINGS OF THE AXIS AND LONGITUDINAL PROFILE WITH PROGRESSIVE TRANSITION CURVES, (2) CALCULATION AND REPRESENTATION OF VARIATIONS IN BANKING, (3) DRAWINGS OF THE TRANSVERSE PROFILE AND CALCULATION OF THE VOLUME OF EARTHWORKS AND SOIL MOVEMENT, AND (4) DRAWINGS OF PERSPECTIVE AND CALCULATION OF SIGHT DISTANCES TO FACILITATE THE SYSTEMATIC ANALYSIS OF THE VISUAL QUALITIES OF THE DESIGN. /LCPC/IRT-ONSER/RRL/
