ANALYSIS OF ERRORS IN THE EXTERNAL ORIENTATION OF THE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC ELEVATION NET WITH THE USE OF PREVIOUSLY ADJUSTED SPOT ELEVATIONS OF POINTS TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED (TRANSLATION)

A MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS IS PRESENTED OF THE PROBLEM OF DISTORTIONS OF THE ELEVATIONS OF THE POINTS IN THE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC NETWORK. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE STRICT METHOD OF ADJUSTMENT OF EXCESSIVES OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC POINTS IS PRACTICALLY EQUIVALENT, RELATIVE TO THE PRECISION OF THE OBTAINED RESULTS, TO THE SIMPLIFIED METHOD. THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC NETWORK WITH THE AID OF 1185310 POINTS POINTS AND THE MOST PROBABLE EXCESSES OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC POINTS MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO REDUCE SEVERAL TIMES THE INFLUENCE OF THE ACCIDENTAL ERRORS OF ITS CONSTRUCTION IN COMPARISON WITH THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE INTERPOLATION METHOD AND EXCLUSIVELY BY THE ELEVATIONS OF THE REFERENCE POINTS. IF THE EXTREME MODELS OF THE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC NETWORK HAVE REFERENCE POINTS, THEN THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE EXCESSES OF THE PHOTOGRAPHING POINTS IS MADE WITH THE AID OF THE STRICT METHOD AND THE INTERPOLATION OF THE DISCREPANCIES OF THE ELEVATIONS OF THE CONTROL POINTS BY THE FORMALS OF SECOND- ORDER SURFACE DISTORTION.
