FRONT AXLE LOAD IN TRUCKS /IN PORTUGUESE/

THE MAXIMUM FRONT AXLE LOAD FOR A TRUCK IS DETERMINED BY DIFFERENTIATION, FROM THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF THE TRUCK AND THE MAXIMUM REAR AXLE LOAD. THE WEIGHT LIMIT IN BRAZIL, IS 15 TONS WITH 10 TONS FOR THE REAR AXLE LOAD AND 5 TONS FOR THE FRONT AXLE LOAD. THE FRONT AXLE LOAD OF A TRUCK WITH HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION, IS 6 TONS, AND THE VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMIT IS 16 TONS (ONE TON MORE OF USEFUL LOAD CORRESPONDING TO AN INCREASE OF 10 %, PONDERABLE VALUE). THUS THERE IS NO NEED TO DETERMINE THE MAXIMUM FRONT AXLE LOAD, ONLY THE CAPACITY AT THE REAR AXLE AND THE TOTAL CAPACITY OF THE VEHICLE WITH MECHANICAL OR HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION. FOR A TRUCK WITH TWO REAR AXLES THE CAPACITY OF THE REAR AXLES WOULD BE 17 TONS AND THE TOTAL VEHICLE CAPACITY 22 TONS (MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION) OR 23 TONS (HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION). /RRI/
