Design and Realization of Technical Demonstration System for Intelligent Highway System

A technical demonstration of an Intelligent Highway System, sponsored by the Chinese Research Institute of Highways, was presented at the 14th World Congress on ITS. The functions for demonstration included location-based safety information service, lane-keeping driving assistance, obstacle alarm for curved road, weigh-in-motion and overload alarm, internet connection, and travel information services. The functions and realization process of the system are described in detail.
