AN ANALYSIS OF VARIATIONS IN THE VALUE OF TIME SAVINGS TO TRUCKS

METHODS AND PROCEDURES INVOLVED IN DETERMINING THE VALUE OF TIME TO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ARE EXAMINED. AN ANALYSIS OF VARIATIONS IN THE VALUE OF TIME SAVING TO TRUCKS IS MADE. THE NET OPERATING PROFIT APPROACH IS INVESTIGATED AS AN AID IN THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT. A VALUE OF TIME SAVING IS DERIVED FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES FOR EACH INTERSTATE COMMERCE COMMISSION OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS. THE METHOD EXAMINED IS REFERRED TO AS THE HANING MODEL.
