Turn-by-Turn Routing Decision Based on Copula Travel Time Estimation with Observable Floating-Car Data
In this paper, we consider making stochastic optimal turn-by-turn decisions from alternative links associated with dependent stochastic travel time. A framework is set up which is made up of a copula-based estimator for travel time dependence structure, a series of probabilistic assumptions on processing time-space sparse floating car data and a set of alternative stochastic decision rules to characterize the optimality. In the procedure, Non-normal margins and non-normal joint dependence structures are considered for the general link pairs. As further development, the generation of reliable estimates and intersection similarity based analysis are considered.
