MARYLAND CAPITAL BELTWAY IMPACT STUDY

THESE 12 REPORTS PRESENT THE RESULTS OF A THREE-YEAR RESEARCH EFFORT BY WILBUR SMITH AND ASSOCIATES TO DETERMINE THE IMPACT OF THE MARYLAND PORTION OF THE CAPITAL BELTWAY UPON THE AREA IT TRAVERSES. THIS INCLUDES THE IMPACT ON LAND DEVELOPMENT, TRAFFIC, THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE ECONOMY OF THE REGION. THE REPORT PRESENTS IN NARRATIVE, GRAPHIC AND TABULAR FORM THE RESULTS OF THIS INVESTIGATION, INDICATING THE PREDICTED IMPACT IN VARIOUS SUBJECT AREAS OF GROWTH HAD THE BELTWAY NOT BEEN BUILT.
