PROCEEDINGS OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE WESTERN ASSOCIATION OF CANADIAN HIGHWAY OFFICIALS

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS ASSOCIATION IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF BETTER HIGHWAY TRANSPORTATION IN CANADA'S WESTERN PROVINCES. A CONFERENCE IS HELD ANNUALLY WITH DELEGATES FROM BRITISH COLUMBIA, ALBERTA, SASKATCHEWAN AND MANITOBA. THE DELEGATES ARE TOP MEN IN THEIR FIELD, MANY OF THEM SENIOR OFFICIALS OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENTS. THE ASSOCIATION IS DIVIDED INTO NINE GROUPS: ADMINISTRATION, CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE, SOILS AND SURFACING, RIGHT-OF-WAY, SAFETY, LOCATION DESIGN AND TRAFFIC, AND BRIDGES. THE PROCEEDINGS CONSIST OF THE AGENDAS AND MINUTES OF THE GENERAL SESSIONS AND OF EACH OF THE GROUP SESSIONS, REPORTS OF THE VARIOUS GROUPS, AND EIGHT PAPERS PRESENTED BY DELEGATES. IT ALSO INCLUDES CERTAIN PROVINCIAL ACTS AND REGULATIONS WHICH HAVE A BEARING ON ROADS AND ROAD TRANSPORTATION. /RTAC/
