Reducing Transport GHG Emissions: Opportunities and Costs - Preliminary Findings

This paper describes how climate change presents two basic challenges for transportation: (1) The transportation sector will have to significantly decrease its greenhouse gas emissions; and (2) The transportation sector will have to invest in ways to adapt to climate change. The authors note that many undertakings can still be launched with great success for little money. Action on several fronts - fuel, travel behavior, technology, for example - will be the drivers of success in mitigating climate change.
