Barrier Free Timetable Information

The German project BAIM aims at supporting or enabling the active and independent participation of people with reduced mobility in public transport. BAIM stands for BAIM provides user group-oriented accessible information services concerning barrier-free traveling opportunities. Existing regional information services have been enhanced with static and dynamic information on the accessibility of public transportation vehicles, of buildings and of other facilities which are part of a barrier free traveling chain. Information and services are accessible pre trip and on trip. Main parts of the system went public in 2008. The project was officially finished in April 2008.
