PROJECT NOB-215-11.60 OF THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS WAS SELECTED AS A PHOTOGRAMMETRIC CASE STUDY IN VIEW OF THE FACT THAT IT WAS ASSUMED TO CONTAIN A FAIRLY COMPLETE CATALOGUE OF DIFFICULTIES EXPERIENCED IN PREVIOUS PROJECTS. AT THE TIME WRITING, THE PROJECT WAS IN THE PLAN DEVELOPMENT STAGE. THE TOPICS TREATED IN THIS REVIEW ARE HISTORICAL DIFFICULTIES (INADEQUACIES IN DEED DESCRIPTION, MISSING PROPERTY AND SECTION CORNER MONUMENTS, PRECISION OF PHOTOGRAMMETRICALLY DETERMINED COORDINATES OF PROPERTY CORNERS), INSTRUMENTATION AND ARIENTATION, PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS, PROPERTY LINE ANALYSIS, PRELIMINARY LOCATION OF PROPERTY LINES, AND PRECISION OF PHOTOGRAMMETRIC LOCATION OF PROPERTY CORNERS.
