NTPEP Report 220 -- Second Year and Final Report of Field Performance Evaluation of Pavement Marking Materials. 1999 Mississippi Test Deck

The materials described in this report were placed on the National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP) 1999 Southeast Regional Test Facility near Tupelo, Mississippi. This report summarizes the data collected during the second year, July 2000 - July 2001, of the 1999 field and laboratory evaluations of pavement marking materials for the NTPEP as conducted on this test deck. The type of testing performed under the NTPEP provides information that can be used to evaluate the acceptability of materials and to compare the performance of similar products. The NTPEP also provides industry with a central focal point to initiate the process of supplying materials to many organizations through one sample submission rather than separate samples of the same material to each organization. The NTPEP does not accept or reject materials, but rather provides test results for evaluation. Consequently, this report contains a summary of data collected for these purposes but does not include any analysis of data resulting in specific product recommendations.
