TRANSPORTATION RESOURCE ALLOCATION BASED ON NEW METHODS OF ACCIDENT REPORTING

A METHOD OF DETERMINING THE BEST SPLIT OF TRANSPORTATION FUNDS AMONG COMPETING HIGHWAY PROJECTS IS PRESENTED. THE METHOD CAN BE APPLIED EQUALLY WELL TO INDUSTRIAL, FARM AND HOME ACCIDENTS OR FIRES. SOME OF THE CONFLICTS WHICH PRESENTLY ARISE BECAUSE OF DATA TAKEN OR SUPPLIED IN ISOLATION FROM REALISTIC SITUATIONS CAN BE RESOLVED BY THE USE OF A PROPOSED NEW METHOD OF ACCIDENT REPORTING. A COMPUTER PROGRAM IS USED TO SHOW HOW FUNDS SHOULD BE REALLOCATED AS THE AVAILABLE RESOURCES GROW OR SHRINK. /AUTHOR/
