EVALUATION OF THE OPERATIONAL, DESIGN AND SUPPORT ASPECTS OF CARTOGRAPHY FOR USE IN CIVIL AREA NAVIGATION MAP DISPLAYS. VOLUME II. APPENDICES
Six major issues concerning the cartographic support of map displays are identified and discussed. Analyses of the cartographic design and support factors are based upon previous research, the survey of map display systems, interviews with cartographers and map display designers, and the inventory and measurement of information contained on contemporary aeronautical charts. Finally, an extensive series of conclusions concerning the operational, design and support aspects of cartography for use in the 1975-80 airspace system are compiled. (Author Modified Abstract)
