This paper describes how a company that wants to stay competitive has to develop successful products and also manage the quality of the products on the market, which includes improvement of the quality of the products. Consequently, some changes occur in the value chain of the product. Producers of the products must manage these changes. Structured data bout the change can improve the quality of the product and rationalize logistic processes. For the quality management and after-sales logistics and methodology for the managing changes has been developed by the service model index approach.
