Iowa Department of Transportation Performance Report: Performance Results Achieved for Fiscal Year 2008

This is the Iowa Department of Transportation's (IDOT's) performance report for fiscal year 2008. It summarizes the performance of the IDOT in carrying out its responsibilities of providing and preserving an adequate, safe, efficient, multimodal transportation system. Overall, IDOT's performance was good in fiscal year 2008. Of the 58 measures in the IDOT's performance plan, 46 measures (79%) met or exceeded their targets. Of the 12 measures falling short, six were within 4% of their target. This means that 90% of IDOT measures met or exceeded 96% of their preset target. In FY 2008, the IDOT’s Performance Plan consisted of the following core functions: Transportation Systems; Enforcement and Investigation; Regulation and Compliance; Physical Asset Management; and Resource Management.
