Evaluation of Train Control Method Using Prediction Control

This paper proposes a train control method that is based on predicting train movement. Using a model of the recovery mechanism, the effects of this prediction control method are estimated on the time taken to recover from train delays. Computer simulation is then used to evaluate the proposed method's effect on train traffic. Results confirm that the proposed method is effective in reducing the amount of time trains were delayed between stations as well as recovery time.
