HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND LAND MONUMENTATION

THE PROBLEMS IN ESTABLISHING AND CARRYING OUT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE TREATMENT OF PROPERTY MARKERS ARE DISCUSSED. AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT CONCERNED GOVERNMENT ENGINEERS AND TECHNICIANS HAVE DONE TO ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM OF DISTURBED LAND MONUMENTS, WORK ON THE WHIPPLE CREEK PROJECT IN THE SOUTHEASTERN DISTRICT OF THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS IS DESCRIBED.
