Interoperable Control Architecture for Cybercars and Dual-Mode Cars

In this paper, the authors present a control architecture capable of managing the automatic driving of fully automated urban vehicles, also known as cybercars, and automated mass-produced cars. The architecture is interoperable and generates human-like control of vehicles in any situation. The authors report that the autonomous route-tracking behaviors are similar for both vehicles, even if the mechanical, electronic, software, and hardware configurations are different.
