World Airport Report [2009]

This article presents the World Airport Report for 2009, a joint effort by Arthur D. Little and Air Transport World. The report offers a series of detailed analyses of passenger traffic trends by airport and region. While overall passenger throughput showed only a 0.9 percent increase in comparison to the previous year, some regions, such as Latin America, Russia, Middle East, Oceania and Africa combined grew 7.4 per cent. The article contains over 30 tables and charts, providing illustrations and various statistics, such as top intercontinental hubs, airport traffic by type and region, and top airline companies. The analyses are broken down by the following regions: Europe, North America, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America/Caribbean.
