BREAK-EVEN BENEFIT-COST ANALYSIS OF ALTERNATIVE EXPRESS TRANSIT SYSTEMS

A COMPUTER-BASED BENEFIT-COST ANALYSIS APPROACH WAS EMPLOYED TO COMPARE THE RELATIVE ADVANTAGES OF ALTERNATIVE TRANSIT SYSTEMS FOR THE MILWAUKEE REGION. A PROPOSED EXPRESS BUSWAY SYSTEM WAS COMPARED AGAINST CONVENTIONAL EXPRESS BUSES AND AN EXPRESS BUS SYSTEM WITH RIGHTS-OF-WAY ON A CONTROLLED ACCESS FREEWAY. /AUTHOR/
