COST ANALYSIS TOOL FOR BUS TRANSIT SYSTEMS. VOLUME I AND VOLUME II

THE REPORT DESCRIBES THE RESULTS OF A PROGRAM TO DEVELOP A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF A CITY BUS TRANSIT SYSTEM OPERATING TWO SIZES OF BUSES. THE RESULTING METHODOLOGY REQUIRES INPUT OF SUCH THINGS AS TRANSIT SCHEDULES, ROUTES, CHECKPOINT DATA, AND PREVAILING DRIVER AND MECHANIC LABOR RATES FOR THE AREA. THE REPORT INCLUDES DERIVATIONAL EXPLANATION AND AN OUTLINE OF PROCEDURE FOR CALIBRATING THE EQUATIONS OF THE PROGRAM FOR THE TRANSIT SYSTEM TO WHICH THEY ARE TO BE APPLIED. /AUTHOR/
