This is a summary and analysis of four reports: Control and confinement of oil pollution on water with monomolecular surface films; Investigation of sorbents for removing oil spills from water: Investigation of sinking methods for removal of oil pollution from water surfaces: Feasibility study of the sand/oil sink method of combatting a major oil spill in the ocean environment.
