THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF I-95 ON NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DELAWARE WAS STUDIED OVER A 15-YEAR PERIOD--PRE- CONSTRUCTION (1954-1958), CONSTRUCTION (1959-1963), AND POST-CONSTRUCTION (1964-1968). FROM AN OVERALL VIEWPOINT, I-95 HAD A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE COUNTY'S ECONOMIC BASE. SOME NEW INDUSTRIES WERE ATTRACTED TO THE COUNTY AS RESULT OF THE INCREASED ACCESSIBILITY.
