Micro-level effects of a kilometre taxation - modelling haulier categories

This paper examines how the introduction of a kilometre tax in Sweden will influence the transport industry in general and the hauliers in particular. An attempt to categorise different types of hauliers which exist in the Swedish haulier market is described, and haulier companies are interviewed to validate the categorisation. To facilitate the prediction of the effects of road user charges, the categories were used in decision support systems. For the covering abstract see ITRD E140665.
