At this conference, the following papers were presented in Dutch: (1) Traffic safety of pedestrians, cyclists and moped-riders inside the built-up area, an explanation on the program of the conference, (Wegman, FCM); Is a national policy for traffic safety possible? The present low level of traffic safety is not acceptable, (Allewijn, P); The organization of a traffic safety policy on the level of a local authority, (De Kok, HGFM); Traffic circulation plans and the promotion of traffic safety: explanation from the point of view of the national government, (De Groot, VJD); The development of a traffic circulation plan into a policy plan for the accessibility and quality of life of our cities, (Wessels, W); Activities of the police and the traffic safety of pedestrians, cyclists and moped riders, (De Jaeger, DM); New urban structures, (Diepenmaat, EWQ); The change of structure in existing urban areas and traffic safety, ('T Hart, M); The changes in structures in existing urban areas and traffic safety for pedestrians, cyclists and moped-riders, (Nije, K); Structures and traffic safety in existing villages, (Zeldenrust, K); Communication between population and authorities, (Kalk, E). In 5 additional workshops the following items were discussed (1) consequences of traffic engineering on traffic safety, (2) provisions for pedestrians, cyclists and moped riders, how are they made, (3) riding qualities of bicycles and mopeds, (4) traffic circulation plans and the promotion of traffic safety, (5) the knowledge of traffic safety problems and its approach; how and where must this knowledge be applied in the local administration. /TRRL/
