THE SEA-GOING HYDROFOIL VIKHR

A description is given of general characteristics and layout of the VIKHR. Details are tabulated on speed, pitch angle, roll angle and periods for both hull-borne and foil-borne conditions. Characteristics are given on five-and-three- bladed propellers. The original propellers were five-bladed but the change was made to provide for a larger reserve power. Operational information, covering an eight month period during 1967, is given.
