ALTERNATIVE WORDINGS TO THE PRESENT GENERAL AVIATION INSURANCE POLICIES

The article sets out in clear terms, those individual insurance coverages which are available, and delineates specifically those the insured wishes to purchase. The proposed language is broken down into two general areas; the traditional coverages and the modified coverages. Comments are made on the definition of terms such as "occupant" and "occurrence", and also on the proposed changes which is in the form of the document known as the Applications/Declarations. The article focuses on general aviation which is limited to those individual or corporate insureds who own or use one or more aircraft solely for their own business or pleasure.
