A LIGHTWEIGHT SNOW PLOUGHING MACHINE

BEHAENDIG SNOEPLOG

This article describes a light snow plough (250 kg) of small dimensions with a capacity of 150 ton/h. The machine is powered by a 12 kw diesel engine, and is capable of moving forwards and backwards on Caterpillar treads at speeds up to 6 km/h. The snow ploughing unit can be lifted 150 mm with two hydraulic cylinders, which combined with the Caterpillar treads makes the machine able to climb on drifts and remove the snow layer by layer. The snow plough (designated 16 fm) was designed by the Italian firm Fresia, Millesimo (Savona). This article is also available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. /TRRL/
