EFFECT OF THE FILLER ON AGGREGATE-BITUMEN ADHESION PROPERTIES IN BITUMINOUS MIXTURES

This paper describes a mechanism for creating adhesion between the aggregate and the bitumen, using certain types of fillers. Quantitative methods are used for evaluating the adhesion and for investigating the influence of the filler. The role of the filler in promoting adhesion is compared to useful tensio-active additives.
