Cable Options for the CDR System Handyman
Some airbag control modules, while accessible through the data link control, are not always supported by a direct-to-module umbilical cable. This article provides guidelines on how engineers can assemble their own cables. Instructions are provided for the pinouts of three basic cables. Each cable assembly requires a certain set of components and some soldering. The instructions provide insight into which wire will be connected to which pinout, and shows the removal and installation necessary to assemble these cables.
