ELECTRONICS IN TRAFFIC CONTROL

ELEKTRONIK IN DER VERKEHRSSTEUERUNG

Electronically operated traffic control systems are so flexible that even at peak periods an optimum traffic flow can be achieved because they can be provided with a data bank which makes it possible to adapt the method of operation to the cyclical variations in the traffic flow. This report gives a view of more electronic aids and their method of operation for traffic control by police: mobile signalling equipment with radar reception units, coordinated motorway information networks, visibility distance control systems, radar equipment for speed measurement and systems linked to televisions. /TRRL/
