Effect on Slab Corner Deflection of Cement Concrete Pavement Due to Measurement Point Offset and Its Correction
In order to analyze the difference resulting from measurement point offset (MPO) in the course of deflection measurements, this research discusses the effect of MPO on deflection results by using 2 general deflection measurements. A parameter termed coefficient of measurement is introduced, and a method of eliminating effect of deflection results is established. Results show the dominant effect caused by MPO can be modified by the coefficient related to the offset and relative radius of elastic foundation slab. If the method is used in the disposal of original data, results with load offset can be transferred to results of standard load position through a simple operation. In this way, the method can be applied to a relatively broad field and the measurement efficiency can be greatly improved.
