This paper describes a model using data obtained from experience of the operation of the UK Land Compensation Act, 1973. The model, which was suggested in earlier papers, relates the environmental intrusion costs (i.e. property value changes) to the environmental changes. During the early stages of a road scheme designers assess alternative strategies which reduce the environmental impact at an increased capital cost; this model is intended to assist in these assessments. /Author/TRRL/
