The cooperation of Bosch and the German Carburettor Association (DVG) has developed a device which by means of an altered mixing system achieves lower fuel consumptions even for engines with a high level of exhaust pollutants: this is a carburettor with an electronic auxially control, the lambea = one controlled carburettor which gives the most economical mixing system. With the aid of illustrations, the construction and function of this carburettor is described. Its main advantages are lower exhaust emission, good driving behaviour, and satisfactory fuel consumption. A series of tests has shown that with the aid of the control it will be possible to keep below the limits planned in the USA for 1980. /TRRL/
