LIMIT OF PROTECTABILITY OF VINYL-CUPROUS OXIDE-BASED ANTI-FOULING COATINGS IN FOULING RICH REGIONS

Three sets of a total of 20 individual well-designed antifouling paints were subjected to (1) accelerated testing in glycine, (2) normal laboratory leaching rate experiments, and (3) raft testing in the fouling-rich waters of Egypt's "Alexandria Harbour". Contact-leaching compositions, combined-mechanism compositions, and soluble-matrix compositions are discussed. Order from NSFI as No. 16729.
