This report reviews new sources of energy, new drive mechanisms and the possibilities of new transport systems. Energy sources covered are methanol, hydrogen and liquid bottled fuels, and details are presented of the type of production, range of possibilities for the vehicle, technical and economic problems. The types of engines proposed are diesel, wankel, stratified charge engines, electro, stirling motors, hybrid-drive, gas turbines and fuel cells, all of which are suggested as possible new drive systems.
