The transhipment of bulk goods, particularly by means of grabbing cranes in harbor areas, is a method of handling which is becoming subject to greater criticism because of the large amount of dust produced when loading and unloading ships. It is now necessary to install the appropriate equipment to these loading and unloading installations in order to limit the inconvenience caused by the dust to a minimum. The article discusses various factors involved in considering dual extraction equipment.
