U-PASS at the University of Washington

U-PASS, established in 1991, is the foundation of Seattle's University of Washington transportation management program. Although U-PASS participation is voluntary for both university employees and students, 83% of students participated in 2007 alone. U-PASS is a membership program offering flexible, low-cost transportation choices, including unlimited public transit access, subsidized carpool and vanpool parking, emergency ride home, Zipcar, and other discount and incentive programs.
