National rail travel survey - final 2008 report - final results from a survey of rail travel across Great Britain

The NRTS is a survey of passenger trips on the national rail system in Great Britain, on weekdays outside school holidays. In March 2007 a report was released which described the background to the National Rail Travel Survey (NRTS) and included provisional high-level survey results based on an interim dataset. It was not possible to release the final database in 2007, for a number of reasons, but the database processing is now complete. This document is the final NRTS overview report and comprises seven chapters as follows; introduction, methodology, key results, comparisons with other sources, data limitations, access to the data, and contact information.
