Tomorrows roads - safer for everyone - the second three-year review - the Government's road safety strategy and casualty reduction targets for 2010

This document reports on progress towards 2010 public service agreement targets for road safety in the UK. "005 data shows that there has been good progress in killed and seriously injured casualties (KSIs) and in particular child KSIs and deprived areas. However the number of fatalities has not decreased as rapidly as hoped and there has been an increase in run off the road accidents and accidents involving cyclists. Planned future policies include increased law enforcement, particularly of drink driving, improved consistence of local speed limits, a better driver training syllabus, a motorcycling strategy, a driving for work education initiative, and a child road safety strategy.
