Sound Design on Turbo-charged Diesel Engines

The author describes this product which offers a system for the design of the sound character in the interior of passenger vehicles. It provides an acoustic emphasis on driving dynamics thus offering a new sound design option for turbocharged diesel engines. Characteristics of diesel acoustics are described, emphasising their importance because of how these particular acoustics contribute so significantly to the overall character of the vehicle, with different acoustics appealing to different customer profiles. The Engine Sound System is then described in detail with explanation of how it works and how it can contribute to constructing the optimum sound for any particular model. A configuration example is included, along with supporting figures.
